GMI at JAO 2025
On Saturday the 4th, we were present at the 18th JAO 2025 "UIC Dental Update Conference" (Barcelona), where Dr. Stefano Aron Glisci led a workshop on Guided Surgery with immediate loading using our Avantgard PEAK implant system.
Once again, this event has become a valuable meeting point, bringing together more than 1,100 dental professionals, 34 conferences, 15 workshops, and the participation of 27 leading companies in the sector.
The 3rd Career Forum was also held, promoted by the Alumni & Careers department, with the participation of national and international companies that brought the world of work closer to the Faculty's alumni and students, as well as the 20th anniversary of the Class of 2005.

First GMI Digital Showroom
Last Friday, September 19th, we held the first Digital Showroom at our GMI factory, where we were able to see the entire digital ecosystem of the Shining 3D brand: intraoral scanner + intraoral scanner with photometry + oral scan + facial scanner. We exported the design of both guided surgery splints with our GMI implants, as well as provisional implants and Michigan splints, all linked to Shining printers. We also scanned the patient with the facial scanner.
We saw the entire workflow from start to finish, observing the facilities that Shining provides us (with its free and unlicensed software) to make the process as fast, simple, predictable, and with the exceptional product quality we have come to expect from GMI.
Attendees also had the opportunity to visit the factory facilities and see the production processes of our implant systems and abutments.

GMI at the Business Tournament at Golf Costa Daurada
This Monday 15th, the 1st Business Tournament was held at the Golf Costa Daurada in Tarragona, an event with outstanding participation and a great sporting atmosphere.
As expected, GMI was present, once again reaffirming its commitment to sport and its support for these types of initiatives.
The tournament was played in teams of four players per company, with a shotgun start and in the two-player individual stableford and one pair fourball stableford categories, bringing together a total of 72 participants.
The team representing GMI was made up of:
- Sergi Bruguera (former professional tennis player, won two Roland Garros, reached world number 3, and won a silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics).
- Tomás Carbonell (current TV tennis commentator, was Mixed Doubles Champion at Roland Garros in 2001).
Both represented Spain in the Davis Cup on several occasions. - Sergio Alonso
- Santiago Llata
The day took place in an unbeatable atmosphere, with a course in perfect condition, a splendid day of golf, and a closing meal that allowed all attendees to share and celebrate the experience.
