Handover of the MDR Certificate by BSI
Yesterday Matthew O'Donnell, Associate Global Head - Orthopaedic & Dental at BSI, visited our facilities to handover the MDR Certificate.
This milestone confirms that our products meet the highest European standards of safety, quality, and clinical performance. The transition to MDR has been a rigorous process, with increased requirements in clinical evaluation, traceability, risk management, and post-market surveillance.
This achievement has only been possible thanks to the teamwork and dedication of our entire staff, as well as the collaboration with our external partners and BSI, one of the most reputable Notified Bodies worldwide. Working with BSI not only raises the level of regulatory demand but also strengthens the credibility and robustness of our products in global markets.
As Mattew O'Donnell said:
“The MDR Regulation is critical for any manufacturer that wishes to place its medical devices on the market in the European Union and BSI is committed to supporting organizations with this challenge. Achieving certification to the MDR, demonstrates that an organization has established processes that consistently meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring timely market access to safe medical devices. GMI participates in the conference at UNAH Campus Cortés
On November 21st, the conference “Immediate Post-Extraction Implants: Case Reports and Live Surgery” was held for residents specializing in Periodontics and Implants and Oral Rehabilitation at UNAH (National Autonomous University of Honduras), Cortés Campus.
The academic event took place at the Sampedrano Dental Center, Nuevos Horizontes Business Center, and was led by:
• Dr. Víctor Hugo David, specialist in Restorative Dentistry
• Dr. Norma Vecilua Valladares, specialist in Periodontics and Dental Implants
• Dr. Carolina David Ponce, specialist in Restorative Dentistry
This activity was part of the introduction of GMI implants, strengthening the clinical and surgical training of future specialists.

GMI Participates in FOCAP 2025 in Guatemala
From November 4th to 8th, GMI took part in FOCAP 2025, one of the most important dental congresses in Central America, held in Guatemala. The event brought together specialists from across the region and featured keynote lectures, hands-on workshops, and cutting-edge presentations.
Our booth was supported by our distributors from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, and El Salvador, who showcased GMI’s implant solutions and engaged with attendees throughout the event. Domènec Huguet, our International Director of Sales and Marketing for Distributors, traveled to the location.
During our stay, we also visited several doctors in El Salvador, strengthening relationships with professionals who rely on our products.

GMI India at 2nd National Conference OSICON 2025
Our subsidiary GMI India participated in the 2nd OSICON National Congress 2025, held in Jaipur on October 31 and November 1–2.
The event brought together leading professionals and experts from the sector, consolidating itself as a key meeting point for knowledge exchange, innovation, and the development of new opportunities.

Formation avancée en Chirurgie Dentaire GMI à La Salle de Madrid
Du 13 au 17 octobre, les formations en français Initiation à l'implantologie et Chirurgie avancée ont été organisées pour des médecins français, marocains et un médecin péruvien, accompagnés de M. Didier Pistre, notre directeur de la filiale GMI France.
La formation comprenait un volet théorique et un volet pratique avec des interventions chirurgicales réelles sur des patients.
