Surgical instruments include all the necessary material for the correct placement of each model of implant. They consist of three basic groups: surgical drills, surgical accessories (paralleling pins, depth gauges and gingival punchs) and thread forms.
GMI surgical instruments are manufactured with surgical steel of the highest quality, and the elements exposed to greater wear are coated with surface treatments to increase wear resistance, and hence their useful life.
Surgical accessories comprise manual and hand-piece connection gingival punchs, paralleling pins and the depth gauges. The gingival punch is the surgical element used to cut the mucosa and mark the bone prior to the use of the lance-shaped drill. Paralleling pins are the accessories used to control the parallelism after using the pilot drill and the initial drilling, and finally depth gauges are used to control the depth of drilling before inserting the implant.
